Xerox has been applauded by research company Gartner for its DocuShare technology, which the latter has labelled 'visionary'.
Gartner placed the Xerox technology in the Visionaries category in its recent Magic Quadrant report, which covers enterprise content management.
The technology, which Xerox says is suitable for all businesses from small right thorough to large corporates, allows efficient, accountable and secure document management through a web-based system.
"With our dual product strategy introduced this year, Xerox makes it easy for businesses to meet both their basic and more advanced enterprise content management needs," said David Smith, vice president and general manager, Xerox DocuShare Business Unit.
"We uniquely give customers the flexibility to mix and match both types of content management solutions on one easy-to-use, software platform, resulting in a cost-effective solution that can grow with their business."
To be labelled a Visionary in the Magic Quadrant report, companies must "show a strong understanding of the market and anticipate shifting drivers", as well as focusing on horizontal market applications that suggest a building market presence.
