Xerox enhances DocuTech 180
Tuesday 17 October, 2006
Xerox has announced that it has improved the DocuTech 180 Highlight Colour printing system, for sale in both North America and Europe.
The company says that the new enhancements mean that different types of print jobs can be carried out and a greater breadth of colours can now be printed on what is the fastest cut-sheet highlight colour printer in the world.
Xerox will show the new machine at the Graph Expo show in Chicago, which is taking place this week.
This significant move from Xerox comes at a time when a survey by market and technology research company and consultancy INTERQUEST showed that the highlight colour market is set to grow by 11 per cent over the next three years.
"Our studies show that manuals and educational books represent a major growth opportunity for highlight colour digital printing," said Gilles Biscos, president of INTERQUEST.
"The Xerox DocuTech 180 Highlight Colour System – with its new finishing options and custom-blended colours – will provide printers the ability to run a wide range of highlight colour applications intended for offset, opening up new business opportunities and increasing revenue and profits."
