Print quality and lifetime is fine from recycled cartridges. Annoying that the printer keeps giving warnings and sometimes doesn't recognize the cartridges but that's probably more to do with Epson's restrictions than the cartridge itself. It's worth a bit of annoyance to get cartridges considerably cheaper than Epson's own cartridges.
