If you have strong environmental views and are looking to buy cheap ink cartridges, you might favour brands that share your position.

Brother could therefore be a good option to consider, as it has just been hailed by The Ethical Company Organisation for its green credentials.

The group, which publishes The Good Shopping Guide, handed it the highest possible rating in its independent audit of businesses and their impact on the environment.

Brother said it is a "top accolade" and noted this is the fifth year in succession it has secured a 100/100 rating.

The tech company described this as "impressive" before insisting it remains focused on doing its bit to help the planet.

Indeed, it said the honour serves as proof that "minimising our environmental impact remains a major priority for us".

Brother recently confirmed it has also achieved "zero landfill status" in the UK this year, with all of its waste now recycled, processed or turned into fuel.
