The Canon Pixma MX410 could be the ideal solution for home and office users, it has been claimed.

Using Canon printer ink to deliver up to 30 pages per minute, the device also features a 1.8-inch LCD screen for ease of use, CNet Reviews reports.

It also offers wireless connectivity and a robust auto-document feeder, meaning print jobs can be carried out quickly and easily in the office and home environments.

Furthermore, Canon's Easy Photo Print EX software enables users to carry out "on-the-fly" snapshot printing, as well as produce custom stickers using the firm's custom sticker paper.

Meanwhile, the firm has announced it was among the top five companies to register patents in 2010. In total, the business registered 2,543 new patents during the 12 months – a 15 per cent increase from 2009.

"2010 was an exciting and groundbreaking year for Canon as it marked the highest number of patents the company has ever received in a single year," commented Seymour Liebman, executive vice-president, chief administrative officer and general counsel for Canon USA.
