The Canon Pixma MG8150 has received a prestigious accolade from the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).

In one of four prizes claimed by the manufacturer in the 2011 TIPA Awards, the inkjet device was named best multifunction photo printer.

The Pixma MG8150 features direct Flickr access using the Canon Easy-PhotoPrint EX software, offering photographers a quick and convenient way to create images using their ink cartridges.

"We're very proud to have received four awards from TIPA," commented Steve Marshall, consumer imaging product marketing director at Canon Europe.

"The TIPA Awards are well known for independently acknowledging the very best imaging products and we're pleased to be so strongly represented," he added.

According to Canon, the Pixma MG8150 is capable of producing a 10 x 15 centimetre photo in approximately 20 seconds.

It also features the company's Intelligent Touch system and Full HD Movie Print, which allows users to create permanent records of their digital camera video footage.
