Trying to act like monkeys do could prove to be an effective way to get fit.

According to London's Evening Standard newspaper, the new Monkey Fitness craze has now hit the capital – and it could offer a fun way to see results when running.

Rather than using typical gym equipment like treadmills and cross trainers, people are encouraged to act more like monkeys to avoid running the risk of finding the exercise monotonous.

By using beams, ropes and climbing frames, people are able to hang from ceilings and use all fours to try and get from A to B, building up stabilising and postural muscles, Retro Gym manager Matt Julian told the newspaper.

Mr Julian notes that doing exercises like a monkey makes people use their bodies in the way they are designed to move, adding that the movements do pass over into normal daily life.

Here at Cartridge Monkey we may not move like our primate friends but we do offer a good range of printer supplies and ink cartridges so you can print pictures of the animals for exercise inspiration.
