HP, known all over the world as one of the leading brand for ink and toner cartridges are now joining the growing trend of printer manufacturers such as, Lexmark and Kodak, by releasing their very own ePrint App, for use on Apple’s iPhone and iPad.
The HP ePrint service app for iPhone, now available on the App Store, gives you the ability to print on your iPhone or iPad while on the move. You can now print emails, presentations, reports, travel documents and more to any networked enterprise printer.
Using the ePrint app on your iPhone or iPad, you can easily search for nearby available print locations that will include various retail stores as well as hotels and airport lounges, you can quickly print off what you need wherever you are…..not too shabby for a free app!
Potentially, the App could generate a lot of revenue for HP considering they currently own 53% of the global market share of printers, plus 300 million smart phones and 55 million tablets are predicted to be sold worldwide this year alone.
If just a small percent of these user’s print, the market will see significant increases in revenue for printer vendors such as HP, so will HP be changing the face of mobile printing? Only time will tell.
