Individuals looking for a multi-functional device for their printer cartridges may like to consider a HP Photosmart e-All-in-One D110a, which has been praised by one reviewer for its features.

Cnet.com's Justin Yu tested out the device, which includes printing, copying and faxing capabilities, as well as access to HP's remote services that allow extra downloadable content.

He noted that the web connectivity provided via the interactive touch screen is a good addition that works well and is offered at a lower price than other printer options with comparable functions.

Mr Yu also praised the compact design of the printer and noted that its ability to hold HP's large-capacity ink cartridges could save users money in the long run.

While he did observe that the D110a is more suited to occasional printing rather than heavy-duty use, the fact it has room for growth through its connectivity works in its favour.

Last month, another HP device, the Envy 100e D410a was described by the San Diego Daily Transcript's Phil Baker as taking a new approach to design and is the result of "imaginative thinking".
