Printer and ink cartridge manufacturer Samsung has confirmed a partnership with leading horse rider Zara Phillips for the promotion of the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Through the partnership, Ms Phillips will work to raise awareness of Samsung's sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

David Song, managing director of Samsung UK, said the company was delighted to have signed a deal with the horse rider.

"She is much loved by the public and an ideal spokesperson to help spread the spirit of the Olympic Games to the public," he said, adding that Samsung offers its support to her in her bid to take part in the Games.

Ms Phillips said she is delighted to become an ambassador for the brand and is looking forward to help people actively participate in the sporting celebrations.

Earlier this month, footballer David Beckham signed a deal with Samsung to be the brand's Global Ambassador for the London 2012 Olympics.
