Individuals who use Canon ink cartridges to print their favourite images may be interested to hear the firm has been named the best photography brand for 2011 by consumer group Which?.

The ceremony took place in London yesterday (June 23rd) and prizes were presented by newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky.

Naming Canon the top photography brand ahead of other nominees Casio, Nikon and Panasonic, Which? highlighted the company's consistently good customer satisfaction and reliability ratings.

It also praised Canon for its continued innovation and good value for money.

Collecting the award, consumer marketing director at the firm Susie Donaldson said it is "very proud" to be recognised for its achievements.

"We have continued to be passionate about providing consumers with imaging solutions that empower creativity and innovation," Photography Blog quoted her as saying.

Recently, Canon has also partnered with movie producer Ron Howard to develop a short film based on photos submitted by users of the firm's products.
