Home office users looking for an inexpensive printer for everyday use may like to consider a new offering from Canon.

The Pixma iX6520 device, which can produce documents with dimensions of up to 13 x 19 inches, offers a maximum resolution of 9,600 dots per inch and has five separate ink cartridges.

Reviewing the device for PC Mag, David Stone noted that its quality is good for a printer in its price range, performing better than many of its inkjet rivals at producing text documents, while its decent speed also works in its favour.

He also noted that its compact design should make it an excellent choice for home office use where owners have neither the space nor the budget for a larger model.

The Pixma line of printers has also picked up praise from other quarters, as when PC World examined the MG6120 machine, it was found to offer a good range of features for its price.
