Home office users seeking a multi-function device that is cheap to run may take an interest in the Stylus SX525WD model from printer and ink cartridge maker Epson.

The device is Wi-Fi enabled and offers copying and scanning functionality, as well as an auto-duplexing feature that could help owners save on paper.

It also includes an LCD screen to operate the device without the need to connect it to a PC and uses Epson's unique fast-drying ink to prevent smudges.

Examining the Stylus SX525WD for Expert Reviews, Simon Handby described it as a "squat and tidy" machine that should easily fit into a home office environment.

He was also pleased with the printing speed, which was said to be better than other models in the Stylus Photo range, while the "great scanner" could be a key point for people looking for a device to do more than just print documents.

Recently, it was stated by Matt Whipp, editor of printweek.com, that the speed of a machine will be a key feature for buyers, along with the resolution of its output.
