Home computer users in the market for a new multifunction inkjet printer could find the latest top-of-the-range model from printer supplies manufacturer Lexmark fits their needs.

The Interact S605, which has the ability to print, scan and copy, boasts a touchscreen display that provides access to the model's functions.

It also has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity for those who want to print documents without requiring a cable connection, as well as a memory card slot that is compatible with a wide range of formats.

Lexmark claims the Interact S605 can print at speeds of up to 33 pages per minute and the performance of the device was praised in a recent CNET review by Niall Magennis, who described it as "a pretty rapid performer".

The quality of black text printouts is "excellent" and equivalent to that of some laser machines, he continued, adding that Lexmark has made a "substantial improvement" in the quality of photo prints when compared with those produced by older models.

Mr Magennis also highlighted its scanning abilities, noting results "match up well with the original image, especially when it comes to colours".
