Individuals looking for ink cartridges for a home office may find a wireless printer is one product that can make their life easier.

According to director of research at the Telework Association Peter Thomson, many people – especially those from younger generations – are considering the benefits of home working.

One reason for this is they are concerned about the impact their commuting activities may have on the environment, he said.

"This is a generation who are green-conscious, who are taught environmental studies at school and are quite rightly saying: 'Hang on – you, my parents' generation, have polluted the planet. I'd like to do something about it,'" Mr Thomson said.

Therefore, those looking to work from home more often may benefit from a wireless setup that allows them to send documents to their printer from anywhere in the house, as well as from portable devices such as smartphones.

Many models of wireless printer are currently on the market, including several from HP that can take advantage of Apple's Airprint feature to produce documents direct from an iPad or iPhone.
