People looking to buy Samsung ink cartridges may be interested in a new gadget that has been released by the company.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1, the latest version of the company’s media tablet, has gone on sale in the UK and could be useful for individuals looking to access the internet and work on documents on the move.

Managing director of mobile at Samsung UK and Ireland Simon Stanford said the firm was confident that the new device would prove popular with consumers and early indications have shown this to be the case.

He added he is "delighted" that "our consumers now have a range of Galaxy Tabs to choose from".

The device comes in versions that offer Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity and is said to be the thinnest such gadget currently on the market, at 8.6mm thick.

It runs on the Android operating system and owners may like to download Samsung's mobile print app for the platform so they can send photos, documents and web pages direct to a compatible printer from the manufacturer.
