The Stylus SX235W all-in-one printer from ink supplies manufacturer Epson is ideal for buyers who are short on space and need an affordable multifunction machine.

This is the view of Simon Williams of TrustedReviews, who has given his opinion on the device, which was announced earlier this month alongside the SX435W.

Both models are part of Epson's Small-in-One range of compact printing devices and are set to go on sale in November.

Mr Williams said the quality of photo prints produced by the device is "excellent" and noted it is also capable of creating good-quality colour pages.

The SX235W is "a very serviceable all-in-one printer", he remarked, but added text printouts occasionally suffer from "jagged edges" on some letters.

Commenting at the machine's launch, Neil Wilson, business development manager for Epson UK, said machines in the Small-in-One category give buyers "greater printing flexibility and value for money".

Both printers work wirelessly and have the ability to automatically detect the most reliable connection and configure themselves accordingly, minimising set-up requirements for users.
