The new Hero 9.1 multifunction printer (MFP) from Kodak represents an advancement in technology for the printer ink manufacturer, due to its support of Google Cloud Print and Kodak Email Print services.

According to Susan Tousi, general manager of inkjet systems and vice-president at Eastman Kodak Company, the Hero range of devices is particularly designed with on-the-go consumers in mind, reports PC Advisor, which had praise for their "sleek" design.

Ms Tousi explained that the machines make it easy for users to print from any device in the world.

"We continue to advance our intelligent technology while also offering the exceptional quality consumers expect from Kodak and premium ink at an affordable price," she said.

Kodak ink supplies may be in strong demand from parents whose kids print a lot of documents for schoolwork, after a recent feature published by the Guardian newspaper highlighted the fact the company offers replacement ink cartridges at a more affordable price than many of its competitors.
