Printer supplies manufacturer Ricoh has announced it is sponsoring a display of the work of several Japanese fashion photographers at the New York Fashion Week, which is currently under way in the US.

The firm has lent its support to the Japan Fashion Photo 2011 event, which is a unique photo exhibition highlighting the work of professionals from the country and will run until September 24th at the city's hpgrp gallery.

Images from nine photographers will be on display and will "represent the unique talents of the artists" and how their vision was able to be captured using equipment from Ricoh, the firm stated.

It added: "The event allows visitors to discover that self-expression through photography can be an enjoyable experience, whether you are an amateur or a professional."

New York Fashion Week began on September 8th and concludes on the 15th, when collections by famous brands including Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein will be on display.
