Individuals looking for an internet-enabled printer that can produce good-quality images may be interested in the Photosmart 6510 from ink supplies maker HP.

The all-in-one printer includes the ability to scan and copy documents, as well as offering a range of web features accessed though HP's ePrint services.

Niall Magennis of CNet UK said that like its smaller sibling the Photosmart 5510 – which he recently praised for its good range of features – the 6510 offers support for cloud printing and Apple's Airprint capabilities.

He observed the output quality of the 6510 is exceptional, noting its text is comparable with many laser devices, while graphics and photos are also impressive.

HP states the machine could be good for users trying to cut their carbon footprint, as it is Energy Star certified and has automatic duplexing capabilities in order to reduce paper usage.

Mr Magennis also described the low running costs of the Photosmart 6510 as another advantage, as it offers a low cost per page and its four separate ink cartridges could mean it is economical to replace consumables when they have run out.
