Individuals looking to print high-quality photos may like to consider what the Pixma MG8250 from ink supplies maker Canon has to offer.

The manufacturer describes the device as "essential for the serious photographer", as it offers six individual ink cartridges and uses the company's unique print head technology to deliver a resolution of up to 9,600 dots per inch.

It also offers features such as Wi-Fi connectivity, duplex printing and the ability to scan 35mm film, which could assist individuals looking to digitise their old photos and slides.

Reviewing the Pixma MG8250 for CNet UK, Niall Magennis noted the model is easy to set up and offers fast printing speeds, which should appeal to high-volume users.

He added: "Photo prints looked gorgeous, with rich, vibrant colours and impressive levels of detail reproduced even in darker areas of the image."

Recently, Canon unveils a new printer in its Pixma range aimed at professional photographers, the 12-ink Pro-1, which is capable of producing images at sizes of A3 and above.
