Ink supplies maker Epson has introduced a new A3 machine that is set to go on sale later this year.

The Stylus Photo 1500W offers Wi-Fi connectivity so people can produce items from anywhere in the home, while the Epson iPrint app allows items to be produced from mobile devices, Tech Radar reports.

It is claimed by the manufacturer to be capable of producing gallery-quality photos on a variety of media at sizes ranging from 6 x 4 inches to 17 x 13 inches.

"Epson's own exclusive Advanced MicroPiezo print head is combined with DX5 technology in the new printer, designed specially for accurate ink placement, smooth gradations and amazing skin tones," the website stated.

The ink cartridges used in the machine can create smudge, scratch and water resistant images that should last up to 98 years when displayed under glass.

It is set to hit shelves from March 1st at a price of £349, the publication noted.

Recently, a model already available in the Photo Stylus range, the PX730WD, was praised by Simon Handby of Expert Reviews for the excellent quality of its image prints.
