Individuals looking to purchase Canon ink cartridges may be interested to hear the brand is set to participate in this year's Milan Design Week.

It will be the fifth consecutive year the printer supplies maker will exhibit at the event, which in 2012 runs from April 17th to 22nd.

One of the world's largest festivals of its kind, Milan Design Week has been held annually since 1961 and in 2011 attracted 282,483 trade operators from 154 countries.

This year, Canon's exhibit is based around the theme of "Neoreal in the Forest" and features pieces created with the help of products such as the Eos 7D digital camera and WUX4000 projectors.

"Making full use of Canon's input and output digital imaging technologies, the company's exhibition space will wondrously, dynamically convey the mysteries, the vitality of the forest and the contrast between stillness and movement," the organisation stated.

It will include a piece created by designers Ryuji Nakamura and Nobuhiro Shimura that projects scenes of nature onto a structure made of latticed piano wire, said to evoke the images of morning dew in the forest.
