Ink supplies maker Epson has won six iF Product Design Awards for some of its imaging technologies, including home printers, label makers and projectors.

Among the products to receive accolades was the SX range of multifunction printers.

The machines, which are 39 per cent smaller than previous models, are claimed by the maker to fit nicely in any residential space, while the "glossy and textured finish provides an elegant appearance".

Recently, the SX445W from this product line was praised by Cliff Joseph of Computer Active for its cheap running costs and wide range of features.

Also receiving an accolade was the Stylus Photo R3000 wide-format inkjet, which is intended to sit well in any professional environment.

Hiroaki Sakai, general manager of the firm's Imaging Products Design Department, said: "At Epson, we go to great lengths to blend usability based on an understanding of actual user situations with stylish attributes."

He added the awards recognise the company's expertise across a broad range of the business' products.
