A new campaign launched in conjunction with animated film The Lorax aims to help encourage individuals to think carefully about how they use their HP printer toner.

HP has teamed up with Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment to sponsor its 3D feature, which is due out in the UK this summer.

The imaging and printing company has announced plans to launch a series of educational programmes based on its commitment to promote sustainability.

Consumers are urged to 'Print Like The Lorax', which is a reference to making environmentally-friendly choices when printing.

A series of videos and educational content with practical tips on selecting sustainable printing products and recycling used toner cartridges have been compiled by HP.

Director of environmental sustainability and social innovation at HP Jeff Walter said: "The Lorax is not only an inspired tale told by one of the world's most beloved children's authors, it is also an ecological challenge that rings true in today's time."

The Lorax was penned by famous children's author Dr Seuss, who was also responsible for writing The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
