It’s interesting to find out that the multi-billion pound empire of some of the world’s most loved brands had such humble origins as starting out in a friend’s garage, or that they were created as a magical cure to addiction.
We all have our favorite brands……the supermarket that we prefer to shop in, the junk food that we just can’t get enough of, and that brand of gadgets that we just love.
Big brands are experts at enticing us to spend our hard earned money with them, turning them into multi-billion pound international companies……but they all started somewhere, so how did they get their name and where did they come from??
I was recently using the AA online route planner to see how long a pending journey would take… As I perused the directions it gave me, I was struck by the number of places that have unusual names
