One cartridge was damaged but it was easily fixed so I didn't contact CM, the reader chip had come off and was stuck to the side of the cartridge but was easily put back in the right place.

Does the HP 8620 need 4 separate cartridges or one black and one combined colour? I thought that it took 4 separate cartridges, which means you don't need to waste inks when replacing. Please advise. Thank you.

Black Ink Cartridge: HP 950 (CN049AE) or HP 950XL (CN045AE) Cyan Ink Cartridge: HP 951 (CN050AE) or HP 951XL (CN046AE) Magenta Ink Cartridge: HP 951 (CN051AE) or HP 951XL (CN047AE) Yellow Ink Cartridge: HP 951 (CN052AE) or HP 951XL (CN048AE).
