A new fashion show focusing on menswear is set to come to London later this year.

The British Fashion Council stated a number of the country's top brands will be showing off their latest designs at the three-day event, which has grown out of London Fashion Week's men's day.

Taking place from June 15th to 17th, the London Collections: Men show will see a range of iconic British designers, Savile Row tailors and new talents present their latest fashions.

Chairman of the British Fashion Council Harold Tillman said: "The menswear industry has been growing from strength to strength in past years and this is true testament to this."

Editor of GQ magazine and chair of Fashion 2012 Menswear Committee Dylan Jones added it would help ensure London is "the place to be" this year, whether people are involved in sport, fashion, entertainment or technology.

Last week, the British Fashion Council announced menswear designer James Long is to receive Fashion Forward sponsorship to show his garments in London for two consecutive seasons.

He becomes the first menswear designer to receive one of these awards, which were established six years ago to provide funding to emerging British talent.
