Individuals looking for a high-quality multifunction printer (MFP) for producing photos may be tempted by the Pixma MG6250 from ink supplies maker Canon.

According to the maker, the all-in-one inkjet, which includes scanning and copying functionalities, is ideal for amateur photographers due to its six individual ink cartridges and 9,600 dots per inch resolution.

The quality of the output it produces was highly praised by Kat Orphanides of Expert Reviews, who noted photos printed on the machine look "stunning".

Continuing, the expert observed the Pixma MG6250's results show "fine detail, vivid colour and beautiful shading".

Canon stated that the inbuilt Wi-Fi capabilities of the device make it ideal for homes equipped with wireless networks, while the Intelligent Touch System it uses on its 7.5cm TFT interface makes the printer easy to use.

It also recently confirmed the model will be one of a range of Canon devices that will be compatible with Apple's AirPrint services from this autumn.

Ms Orphanides said the large display makes it simple to preview images for direct printing and noted that "if you're a keen photographer, this is the MFP for you", awarding the device the maximum five-star rating.
