People can print high-quality photos by using standard printers and ink cartridges, HP has said.

In its digital photography advice column, the company said that it is possible to get high quality prints from any digital photos.

The company noted that lab-quality prints can be achieved in "less than a minute" and that it is not necessary to use a computer before printing.

Using the built-in memory card slot on HP's Photosmart printers allows the easy transfer of images from a camera to a printer, while editing can be done on the unit's touch screen.

Photos can be enhanced, cropped and rotated on the printer, so people can be sure they will get a good quality image at the end.

HP also recommended the use of special photo paper and original HP ink cartridges, as using these items together will provide a better finish for images, the company claimed.

Recently, HP confirmed that its ePrint-enabled devices can now support Google Cloud Print.
