Value for money is the most important concept to consider when choosing ink cartridges, an expert has suggested.

Commenting on the price of printer supplies, VP Sajeevan, director of consumer system products at Canon India, told Tech2 that "value for money is key" when choosing ink cartridges.

He noted that some cartridges are available in different sizes, suggesting that people should remember to think about the cost per page, or cost per millilitre of ink rather than solely considering the total cost of the cartridge.

Mr Sajeevan suggested that Canon typically offers high-capacity ink supplies, while competitors tend to offer smaller sizes.

A number of producers offer a number of different sized cartridges for their products. As well as offering better value for money, larger ink cartridges help to cut down on waste as fewer empty cases will be sent to landfill because people will need to replace the items less often.
