The body gave its European Printer 2011-12 accolade to the Stylus Photo R3000, which was praised for the quality of its outputs and the low running costs of the device, as well as its accessibility features.

EISA's judging panel stated: "This is an ideal printer for both professional photographers and advanced amateurs."

Business manager at Epson UK Neil Wilson explained the award is a testimony to the high-quality professional products the firm produces across its range.

He also noted how the Stylus Photo R3000 was designed based on consumer feedback, which recommended the use of larger ink cartridges and improved paper handling for fine art supplies.

Last month, another model in the Stylus Photo range, the R2000, was praised by PC World's Campbell Simpson, who said it is on a par with the best professional photo printers on the market.
