Individuals looking for a budget printer that still includes a good selection of features may be interested in the 3050A model from ink supplies maker HP.

The all-in-one device includes printing and scanning capabilities and also comes with a Wi-Fi connection to allow users to print from anywhere in their home.

This is one of the features that was highlighted by CNet UK's Niall Magennis as separating the 3050A from its cheaper 1050A stablemate – a printer he recently described as being an excellent choice for low-volume users.

Another additional feature is a 3.8-cm flip-up screen that the reviewer noted makes it very easy to set up the machine.

HP notes the printer could also be a good choice for environmentally-conscious customers, as it is not only Energy Star certified for its low power consumption, but is made from 35 per cent recycled materials.

Mr Magennis observed the 3050A may be an ideal option for users who only expect to print documents occasionally "thanks to the incredibly low price tag, the convenience of its Wi-Fi support and the fact that replacement cartridges won't cost you an arm and a leg".
