Ink supplies maker Kodak has introduced a new entry in its line-up in inkjet printers, as well as a new mobile app tailored for iPad users.
The firm’s new ESP 3.2 All-in-One includes features such as print, copy and scan functionality, Wi-Fi capabilities and a 2.4-inch colour touch screen.
It uses the company’s pigment-based ink cartridges to deliver results that dry instantly and are smudge, water and fade resistant, as well as offering low replacement costs for consumables, Kodak stated.
Brian Cruz, director of marketing and vice-president of Consumer Inkjet Systems at the organisation, said the machine will help meet the needs of today’s demanding users.
“The ESP 3.2 All-in-One printer offers the value and ease that consumers want, with no trade-off on quality and performance,” he said, adding buyers can be reassured Kodak will continue to offer all the support and printer supplies they need for affordable, high-quality printing at home.
Other key features include connectivity with Google Cloud Print and Kodak’s Email Print Service, which allows users to assign a customisable email address to their device, to which they can then send documents to be printed remotely.
Kodak’s smart sensor technology can also predict the time and supplies needed to complete a task and automatically adjust settings based on paper size and type.
Owners of the printer may also benefit from the new Kodak Pic flick app for iPad, which will be able to hook up to the machine via a wireless connection and enables individuals to create personalised photo cards, collages and prints while on the move.
Examining the ESP 3.2 All-in-One, PC’s Advisor’s Karl Hodge observed the machine offers a stylish, compact design that should fit in nicely in a home environment.
He added printing speeds are respectable and “the quality is worthy of the name ‘Kodak'”. The expert concluded the machine “will be good purchase for home and small office photo printers”.
