I bought a compatible ink for my Canon pixma 1800, but it's not working, do you have any ideas why?

Hi, sorry you're having trouble, there are a few steps that might get the ink to register in the machine. First remove all cartridges, close the door and unplug the machine. Leave the item off for 10 minutes before starting up. After turning the machine on please reinstall the ink and hopefully, this should resolve it.
